Ridley, i will keep my fingers crossed for The Kingdom Keepers, thinking positive. I enjoy all of the Peter Pan books. In Kingdom Keepers, i loved when they all went to sleep and ended in Disney World fighting to keep the Kingdom safe.
Is Escape From the Carnivale, a prequel to the other books by you and Dave Barry?
Carnivale is a "chapter book" much smaller than the Peter books and without Peter or Molly. The books are aimed at slightly younger readers (though enjoyed by adults) and tell stories involving the mermaids, the pirates, the Mollusks, the Lost Boys, and others left behind on Never Land Island, while Peter's off with Molly.
If kingdom keepers is going to be a movie will it be filmed in the magic kingdom and if it is let me know i would love to be an extra or someone in the backround i really hope disney approves of it

I think one of the problems with having a KK movie is that it has magic ruiners in it, which little kids (and even me) don't want to see. Specifically in the utilidor and when the KK's are undercover. Hopefully if they do make a film, they'll keep that stuff out of it. Otherwise I'd be quite upset, and I know other people would be too. And just so you all know, Ridley probably doesnt have anything to do with the casting process, so if you're going to audition just go in with confidence and try your hardest. I'll be asking my agent to send in a tape.
As for the Peter movie, it is almost certainly happening according to Wikipedia (although it reports Peter Pan III which is rumoured to be a prequel. And it can't just be based on the motion pictures, because they're not tied to a consumer products line, which all Disney sequels must be as of now.)

I read your book Kingdom Keepers. When i read it, I was immedietly engaged in all the suspense and couldn't put it down. My friends and I have been taking acting, dance, and singing since the age of three, and when your movie comes out, which I believe it definetly will, you can have auditions at my school for the arts in Miami. It's called Roxy Performing Arts Center in Miami, Florida. You can find alot of talent here and my friends and I would definitely be at the auditions!

Hey you guys, listen to this, If they make a movie, another great pair of rides that could be included as clues could be, The Haunted Mansion and Alien Encounter.
the first time that philby, charlene and finn meet in their sleep, they could start to explore the park. they could add willa to the group and they could split up. then the alien from alien ncounter could come to life and try to eat them. It could chase them all over the attraction. In the mean while, the ghosts from the haunted mansion could haunt them and lead them to secret passage ways and extra rooms. the alien ride could be so badly thrashed that it could lead to it's renovation to stich's great escape.
you can also add in piretes of the carribean some where in too. jack, elizabeth and will turner can help them defeat barbosa. also amanda can some how be captured by maleficent and have the ability to cross over like the dhis.
ps. how old is the least possible age for the dhis?
Hey Ridley, It's your favorite teacher!! :) I just ordered several copies of the Kingdom Keepers for my treasure box in class and I had several kids order it on my last book order. I sing your praises so often and use that scene from It's a Small World so much my kids can't wait to read the book for themselves. I was reading through the blogs and saw the thread beginning about the Haunted Mansion as a possible destination for the next Kingdom Keepers. Have you ever been through the secret passages or heard the story of Gracie Manor from one of the Cast Members? In October of 2003 we were lucky enough to go to a wedding in Disney World and at the time of our visit to the Magic Kingdom we were invited by a Cast Member to go through the back way. She pulled us out of line and began relating the story of Mr. Gracie and his beloved Elizabeth. She even showed us the imprint in the cement where the horse stomped her engagment ring into the ground. We then went through one of the secret passages of the ride. The hallways were cold, musty, and eeire. The lights were flickering and haunting moans could be heard from the walls. Our Cast Member related the rest of the story and then pushed on a wall to reveal we were at the start of the ride ready to get on! It was one of the coolest things I had ever done. So I heartly agree that the Haunted Mansion be included in the book. Perhaps you could even talk about the three hitch-hiking ghosts! :)But you are a brilliant writer anyway so I know that you already have the most amazing story started. I can't wait to read it!

You should try to make a movie into each of your books. And if you need my help just email me. I can be very perswaysive (I think thats hot to spell it) I would also like to be in one of your movies. I just really like the way your write. I like the way how you make people think whats going to happen at the end. I dont read books where I already know whats going to happen. It waste my time. I noticed that about 50% of the people on this blog have asked about movies, casting, characters, etc, etc. If I were you, it would've driven me crazy by now (all the people begging to be in the movies). I think you sound like a patient person - that's good, you'll need the patience, I'm sure. Um... I was sort of thinking... my best friend Madison - she loves to act, and she's good at it. I really would appreciate it, if you'd give HER a chance about the casting for the Kingdom Keepers or Peter movies - I've dreamed of being an actress for forever...but...I really think she deserves that chance. Dear Ridley, I'm not here to bug you about 'Please let me be in the moive because I've ALWAYS wanted to be an actor', because some of these are just pathedic, but I think the book should become a moive, and I have a question. Is there going to be a sequal to kk? I picked up the book about a year ago, and I've already read it twice. Hope all goes well!

hey I just read the book and it was great. I tink when it become a movie you should kind of stick to how the book goes don't let people change the order around. I also think every thing in the book should be added in the movie I thing Max Lloyd-Jones would be a good finn but its your book u should decide. Well i hope it goes though. oh and kingdom keepers 2 I think you should go further whith finns and amanda relationship and stick whith the original characters like Finn Wila Maybeck and maybe add Amanda and Jez to the DHI. Hello Ridley. I am an avid reader and huge fan of your books Peter and the Starcatchers and Peter and the Shadow Thieves. I am sure you have heard all of this before but I have no where else to turn. I have been in several community plays but have never gotten a substantial part. They have told me this is because I am short and young. Both I can do nothing about. Everyone I know thinks I am extremely talented and I would do anything to become an recognized actress. Where I live there are no auditions for movies or television series. Hopefully you see my dilemma. When and where will there be auditions for your Peter and the Starcatchers movie? If you can't tell me, do you have any advice for me?

Thanks for the comments about the Haunted Mansion. I did tour (with Dave Barry) the Haunted Mansion, when it was closed, and I used the chicken door in the first Kingdom Keepers book, but there's always MORE TO COME...

I like your books and I have found out that you are trying to make a movie into I think it is the Kingdom keepers ( to me that was the best one). You should try to make a movie into each of your books. And if you need my help just email me. I can be very perswaysive (I think thats hot to spell it) I would also like to be in one of your movies. I just really like the way your write. I like the way how you make people think whats going to happen at the end. I dont read books where I already know whats going to happen. It waste my time. But your books dont do that. At the end I say wow. I might not be your biggest fan but I really do think I you are a good writer and you can make a movie if you can only Believe in yourself. You can do it and I can help. And in the movie I would like to be anything you want me to be. I am also anymouse. lol

I noticed that about 50% of the people on this blog have asked about movies, casting, characters, etc, etc. If I were you, it would've driven me crazy by now (all the people begging to be in the movies). I think you sound like a patient person - that's good, you'll need the patience, I'm sure. Um... I was sort of thinking... my best friend Madison - she loves to act, and she's good at it. I really would appreciate it, if you'd give HER a chance about the casting for the Kingdom Keepers or Peter movies - I've dreamed of being an actress for forever...but...I really think she deserves that chance. I can live without it....

If the movie goes through, you should have every single detail, and how you imagined it to be in the movie, like the time when they are at the skate park when, I think, Jez comes out of nowhere, that would freak out the audience.
And would be sooo cool, and last time we were at Disney, my mom and I would point out the points at the rides were Finn and the others were at, just imagine, we were the only people on the rides with 3-D glasses and see if we can see any thing, we were the only ones, we didn't see anything, but at least I know people were laughing at us.

hey I just read the book and it was great. I tink when it become a movie you should kind of stick to how the book goes don't let people change the order around. I also think every thing in the book should be added in the movie I thing Max Lloyd-Jones would be a good finn but its your book u should decide. Well i hope it goes though. oh and kingdom keepers 2 I think you should go further whith finns and amanda relationship and stick whith the original characters like Finn Wila Maybeck and maybe add Amanda and Jez to the DHI. I am an avid reader and huge fan of your books Peter and the Starcatchers and Peter and the Shadow Thieves. I am sure you have heard all of this before but I have no where else to turn. I have been in several community plays but have never gotten a substantial part. They have told me this is because I am short and young. Both I can do nothing about. Everyone I know thinks I am extremely talented and I would do anything to become an recognized actress. Where I live there are no auditions for movies or television series. Hopefully you see my dilemma. When and where will there be auditions for your Peter and the Starcatchers movie? If you can't tell me, do you have any advice for me?
Hey Ridley I'm a huge fan of your work. especially kingdom keepers. i'm an aspiring actor probably not good enough for a major role(I've only done theater) but i'd love to be an extra, maybe one of the kids who says "hey aren't you one othose DHI?" Anyway I know you'll need tions of kids for scenes at school and at the Wide World of Sports. Only problem is, i'm from the southeast, do you think their would be tryouts in tennessee or alabama?

maybe ridley is tired of everyone asking to be in the movie so he has completely stopped responding to everyone and moved on to the other topics (maybe things involving Peter Pan) any way we all want to be in the movie but i doubt half of us (including myself) have any experience on camera, sure maybe you did a school play, got the lead role and evryone told you your a great actor but this is hollywood people, get real your best chance is to be an extra with one or two lines, as i mentioned before.
