Kingdom To Yourself?
I've been able on seveal trips to have the Magic Kingdom all to myself (with an Imagineer by my side). Here's a thread to discussion of who would like that, and who would not.
Disney Parks Alone???
Disney Parks Alone???

Ive never been to the Magic Kingdom before. Want to, but havent got the change yet. It sounds like it would be fun.
I have been to Disney World 7 times, I have also read the Kingdom Keepers, going back and reviewing many parts numorous times. I love the book but wondered what it really is like to go to the parks when the gates are closed and the lights go out.
I found it both eerie and exciting. Keep alert to the blog, because I'll be posting research photos from Animal Kingdom in September.

They had a sweepstakes that just ended last month. It's was for the new celebration The Year of a Million Dreams starting in October. The sweepstakes is called The Keys to the Kingdom. It's where you and your family enter the park early on a red- capeted Main Street lined with cast members and you and your family go from land to land as the other guests fill in the park behind you! I thought this might be cool to share since it is about having the park to yourself (which would be AWESOME!!!).

No, the Year of a Million Wishes hasn't started at all yet. And it won't be a sweeps, it'll be done by random selection within the park, the details of which have yet to be announced.
Actually you're both wrong. It is a sweeps and it has not started yet. (:
Actually, I'm right. It isn't a sweeps, it's an in-park random selection. Trust me, I'd know. I run a Disney News site and reported the story to the Inside the Magic boards (by means of copy and paste, but regardless). I know, because everyone is waiting for the announcement from Disney as to how the prizes will be randomly selected out of the 1000's of daily guests.
I'm not saying that The Year of A Million Dreams will be a sweeps. I'm saying there is a sweepstakes for the celebration called The Keys to the Kingdom sweepstakes and the sweeps ended last month. sorry if I confused you.
All right. Sorry. My fault.
I havent ever been to disney world before, but I have been to other amusement parks and I would love to be in them alone of course with a few of my friends though. Then we wouldn't have to wait in lines and could ride a ride a lot more then just once or twice as usual.
i think it'd be amazing to have the park to yourself. wow. i'm so jealous that you have had that opportunity... maybe i should write a fictional book about disney and then they'll let me in for "research" :) (LOVED kingdom keepers btw)
Hey, this is Tyler (yes, i AM a girl) I act, sing, and sometimes dance, but I love to be on stage. ANYWAY, I've been to WDW 12 times, and I'm going for a 13th time coming up! Having the park to myself... that would be amazing! I could imagine just hanging out with the characters and riding the rides. Of course, when I think about the park by myself, I imagine the cast members and my parents with me too! That would be cool! By the way, I was browsing YouTube and I found a home video a group of teenagers and kids made. It was a trailer for Peter and the Starcatchers, and it is VERY entertaining w/ great editing and special effects. Here is the link, but I dont know who made it so dont aske me who it is (not that u would): http://youtube.com/watch?v=1hWMhw3XQDM
It's really cool, dont ya think? Anyway, I love your books! And I cant wait for KK2! Well, ttyl!

I wish I could go to disney, even if i had to wait in a line that had a million people!
Hey Ridley
You said that you would post some pictures of you on your trip to AK, can you pleas post some?? I really want to see! ;)
PS: Click on my name! It links to my site that I made all about the Year of a Million Dreams!!
I've been through parts of the parks (MK, Epcot, and MGM) very late at night and early morning with no one else around. The music is still playing...
It's very interesting walking through Toontown, I always have a habit of glancing at Mickey and Minnie's house and checking just in case...
Oh. That would be... okay.
It just seems scary and lonely without all those annoying and obsessed crowds..
