Just wanted to say thank you for being so good with my daughters today at your book signing. (My wife filled me in on all of the details) It was really special for them to meet you and get to talk to you about "Peter and The Shadow Thieves". I only wish that I hadn't had to fly out of town the previous day.
Thanks again and I can't wait for them to get home to NJ so I can finish reading the book too.
I'm looking forward to reading Shadow Thieves. I think I might enjoy this chapter more than Starcatchers becuase it will put Peter Pan (as his character) in a real world setting.
In fact Starcatchers has inspired me to write my own Peter Pan book (set in the late 1990s) where one of his lost boys finds himself with a descendant of the Darling boys that accompanied Peter and Wendy in the Barrie story. If anyone is interested--especially Mr. Pearson :)--my address is lostboyfound (dot) foxfirestudios (dot) net .
I think Shadow Thieves benefits from Starcatchers having solved many of the questions about Peter's flying, never growing old, etc. In Shadow Thieves Dave and I dig into a story and don't let go.
Hi Ridley, Your old family camp buddy and good friend to lovely wife, MMP, here!
We just picked up Peter and the Shadow Thieves and can't wait to dive into it - especially after enjoying Peter and the Starcatchers so much.
Wish we could have seen you on your book tour here in the Palo Alto area, but we were out of town. Next time.
I started a blog for my newly-formed book club (BOA Book Club Blog). Since Peter and the Starcatchers came up in conversation last meeting, I put up a nice post all about your books! Check it out!
Have a great rest of the summer and love to the family.
hey ridley, on your kingdom keepers blog you told me to talk to you here so.....my big question is.... will there be a third peter and the starcatchers and if so do you think that peter's new exposure to the starstuff will change more about him?

Yes: A third Peter and The ... novel is being written right now. We hope to publish it next fall. Peter's exposure to starstuff at the end of Shadow Thieves had definitely changed him -- but he doesn't know it yet. That's one of the discoveries in the new book. You're a good reader.... Ridley
I just finished Peter and the Shadow Thieves this morning, and I must say it was phenominal! I couldn't out it down! But that didn't surprise me because the first one was amazing as well. My question to you is: Can you give us somewhat of a storyline as to the 3rd Peter and the... book? Without giving too much away, is it going to involve the Shadow Thieves again? I was also wondering why you're stoping with a third book? You and Dave together are unbelieveable! Don't stop writing about Peter and Molly!
I think that you & Dave Barry should write your own Peter Pan b/c the Peter Pan J.M. Barrie wrote is not exactically following your stories. I mean, it is good; J.M. Barries Peter Pan, but your books are amazing. You wouldn't have to call it Peter Pan. But I really love those NeverLand books with Peter and Molly and I would like to know what happened next, not just about NeverLand, but Peter, and maybe Molly too. p.s. What is the book you are writing called (the one that's coming out Aug. 07) and what's it about?

The story of Book 3 takes us to Rundoon, and King Zarboff. It DOES involve the Shadow Thieves -- and there are MORE of them. That's probably all I should say... We're stopping with a 3rd book (although a story for a 4th book has reared its head -- because we feel the three books will get a young boy all the way to the point he leaves his shadow behind in London -- and that was the original intention.
We do hope to write another book together (Dave Barry and I) -- but haven't yet settled on what that might be. We'd love to create "our own world."
Loved books 1 and 2-couldn't put them down. One question left unanswered-how come the lost boys don't age? They were not exposed like Peter was. Or is that going to be addressed in the 3rd book?...
Obviously you recieve quite a bit of praise for your work with Dave Barry on "Peter and the Starcatchers" and "Peter and the Shadow Thieves." I just wished to comment to add some more. I have just finished "Shadow Thieves" and can't wait to go out and grab the Neverland book. I have "Starcatchers" out on rotation with my friends and so far each one has enjoyed them. It was in fact my mother who introduced me to "Starcatchers" first, though I had to inform her that there was "Shadow Thieves" as well just recently.
Jack Frost, wow. I didn't even notice that, and I'm a huge fan of the Peter And The ___ books.
Anyhow, The lack of Peter's shadow in the cartoon (pretty much how he meets Wendy) wasn't explained in Shadow Thieves, which I thought it would, hence the shadowness.
Is that you and Barry being awesome, suspensful writers? Or are you glad I reminded you about that.
Haha, I can't wait to read the next book, as I was actually pretty upset when I finished Shadowthieves because I was Peter And The _____less.
gia.nna, the lost boys do age. in the 2nd book James was becoming taller than Peter. just to let you know. it wasn't greatly approached, so this should answer your question.
Thank you so much for publishing this book! I know you are probably not listening since it has been a while since the book has come out, but I shal post anyway. I really enjoyed Peter and the Star Catchers, in fact I read it three times it was so good! I am 12 years old, and I absolutley love your books! Thank you very much for creating this series! I am on page 62, for the fact that I have been looking for this book ever since probably December of last year! I was so happy I found it, and I can't wait to finsih it! Thank you for everything and I cannot wait to read the third.. looks very interesting! Oh, and please thank Greg Call for all of the interesting, and very detailed illustrations! It seems to help us follow the storyline a little better! Well, off to reading, and I know I have said this almost 10 times but, THANK YOU! Sincerely,
Welcome to Wild Ride, where I'll post links and suggest topics for discussion. New books. Rides at Disney World. Peter and Molly. Steel Trapp. Sometimes I'll comment. Sometimes just post. Join in! Have fun! We'll need to ask you to match a series of letters in order to combat spam.

Hi Ridley
I just want to say that the Peter books are probably one of my favorites and i cannot wait till the third one!
gia.nna,
the lost boys do age. in the 2nd book James was becoming taller than Peter. just to let you know. it wasn't greatly approached, so this should answer your question.

I'm a little embarrassed in admitting that I rather like the jealousy between Peter and George over Molly.
Will there be more things like that in the other books?
(this is from Anonymous(above)again.)
Do you have a title for the third book, and a release date??
when is the third book coming out, and are u going to continue with the series after the third book
Will Slank reappear in the book? I hope so..........I rather like Slank =)
Is there going to be a 3 book about Peter and Molly
you two write so well... i want to be a writer..any advice? The Peter and the... books are great! How do you two come up with such creative ideas?
Thank you so much for publishing this book! I know you are probably not listening since it has been a while since the book has come out, but I shal post anyway.
