Denver Friends

I saw Hale and others at my talk in Denver last night. We discussed the next Kingdom Keepers, the stage production of Peter and the Starcatchers and more. Thanks to all for coming out and supporting the books. Still a few cities to go. Hope to see more of you out there.

Kingdom Keepers 2 appears to be on track for August 2008. Steel Trapp will publish in April 08, and I hope to tour for it.

More touring? Yay! Do you have any idea of where you will be touring, or not really? It's pretty far ahead, so I doubt you know...

KK2 was always scheduled for August 2008. That's why I always emphasized 2008!! not 2007!
I'm finishing it now, and Disney is working on a cover. One year to go!!

Ooh, I can picture the cover now:

Similar to the first, but instead of pirates chasing the kids, the Expedition Everest Yeti chasing the kids in front of the Tree of life.

I am way too impatient.

I really liked KK and I was wondering how many more books there are going to be. I hope Kingdom Keepers 2 is going to be just as good or better than Kingdom Keepers.

Kingdom Keepers 2 is finished. My daughter has read it front to back. I head to Animal Kingdom next week for one final walk through of the attractions as they are described in the book. Now it's on to Disney making a cover and beginning the process of publishing the book.

After reading your latest post, Ridley, the burning jealousy kicked in.

Just kidding.
To a certain extent.

I must say, having come back from Disney, the Winnie-the-Pooh ride was both creepy and awesome in 3-D glasses.

The PATSOR tour kicks off on my brithday. Time to add somethnig more to my wishlist...

Congratulations on finishing The Kingdom Keepers 2. I have a school that would love to have you for a event. They read KK as one of their book club titles, and loved it. I know this is very early to ask, do you think you'll be touring when the kids are back in school or still on break?
Also, will Dave and yourself be making your way up to Copperfield's in northern California?
Thanks Ridley
I need to get another copy of KK, the kids have now destroyed the fourth copy from reading it so much.

Holy crap. I'm not going to say anything, because I don't want to reveal anything to those who haven't read yet: but holy crap!

Reading an ARC copy of "Peter and the Secret of Rundoon", I had to put the book down and stare at my wall in awe at the plot twis--no, plot tornado that you just exploded onto me.

I don't even know if it'll be THAT completely relevant to the plot, but I didn't see that coming at ALL, and such a fun surprise has just made my week.

*This is referring to the... hrrm... Archives, and Starr...

But anyways, great work. I anxiously await the potential theatre production of the series/first book and cannot wait to finish the conclusion to this fantastic trilogy.

It may seem outlandish; but are you following the Starcatcher series with an Aladdin series--or single book--but related to Starstuff?

It would be very interesting if you and Mr. Barry could write prequels to a few more Disney stories, all explaining them with Starstuff. You basically set the stage for Aladdin--and The Little Mermaid could be done easily as well.
I'm not sure about Beauty and the Beast or any of the others... but those would be very exciting and new. Maybe Peter could be tied in?--Who knows.

Also!--there's an ARC copy of Peter and the Secret of Rundoon on eBay, and is supposed to have your signature. I didn't buy that copy (the only reason I bought an ARC of Rundoon was because I was too excited and eager to read to wait till--Ah!--November) but, if you didn't sign any ARC copies, you might want to check that out.

*Also, I understand that writing isn't a few pieces of cake and you have a masterpiece. Obviously doing the Aladdin, Little Mermaid, etc. would be a lot of work, but it could be a very interesting and, not to mention, awesome, way to expand the PATS series.

Anywhom, I can't wait till the launch of Rundoon... even though I'm reading it...
And if Starcatchers becomes a play, I'm buying tickets. And sitting on the stage.

Haha.

GAH! I just finished Rundoon and I'm now going to read Peter Pan, and then Peter Pan in Scarlet, and then write some more sequels to that.

I've grown in love with Molly... she's such a fun character. And Ammm, too, and it's upsetting to know they won't be in the 'next' installments of the Peter Pan franchise (referring to the original by Mr. Barrie, and the 'official sequel' which came out around the same time as Shadow Thieves).

Though, I must say, Rundoon seemed a bit strange without the pictures--but I don't mind, and I can't wait to see what they look like.

Now I'm only hoping you expand further and add an Aladdin bit as suggested before, but that's a long stretch and only the product of my addiction to this series (mixed, of course, with an easy way to expand the franchise in a fun, new way... Yay, persuasiveness... heh...)

Holy crap! Mr. Pearson, I think you just saved me from mass depression...
(Haha) I am so excited now, which adds even more to the awesomeness, as I leave for Disney tomorrow.

Anywhom, keep up the fantastic work--I still haven't read Kingdom Keepers, but I might pick it up when I get in Disney. If not for [forget the name] gift shop in the Animal Kingdom, I may have never picked up Peter and the Starcatchers.

Is it true that the Peter and the Starcatchers movie will be animated? Why not real actors? I think it would be cooler if it was real not animated. Have you already started filming it?
