THANK YOU! Over 1,100 entries in two days for the BETA TESTING group for the new Kingdom Keepers game!! 200 will be selected by Wednesday!
You all ROCK. I hope I'm one of the 200 selected! I'm pretty confident Disney will be offering those of us who aren't chosen in this round a sneak peek later in March, BEFORE THE PUBLIC GETS TO PLAY!! So, thanks again for your entries. And keep coming back to the blog for updates.

I really hope I get picked! All day, All I thought about was KK and If I'd come up with an email, but it didn't happen..Glad It was extended till Wednesday though!

ahh this is killing me.. today in school i was texting my mom all day to see if i got an email... so then like towards one o clock i was finally like check his site, its not gunna be good, and it said till wednesday and i almost stood up and screemed!!!!

OMG thts crazy tho! if we get picked and ridley gets picked! If its lyk a kk version of vmk (which i dont think it is or else we'd be told that by now i bet) we can actually meet Ridley in person (well avatar BUT CLOSE ENOUGH!!!!) lyk a real convo with the writer himself! Yeah it would be really cool to be in a beta test with the creator of the Kingdom Keepers series its like Yavn in VMK :)
I was thinking the same thing: is it gonna be like VMK? Club Penguin? Wizard 101? Runescape? The suspense is too much!

Guys stop asking him questions about VMK. This is not VMK, this is Kingdom Keepers. Face the facts that VMK is gone. I know it is in the books and we will just have to wait to see what parts if there are any are in the game. Can't wait to see if I get accepted Ridley. Hope you get in as well.
Those who are chosen better keep us posted on how the game is. The suspense is too much.
I wonder if it will be something like the Peter and the Starcatcher's site. Only with a game.

So excited! Just got kk2 :]
200 out of 1,100 applicants will be picked? Somehow, this just makes me more excited for the game as the suspense builds up. :)
Ridley, if you don't mind, I have a question about this "picking". Will members be randomly chosen, first come first serve, or will something else makes them decide who to choose?

Why is this beta testing only open to people who only live in the United States. Could you please let Canadians and other countries know if we will get a chance to be beta testers later. Or if we can even play this game in the future.
I am sure there are many Canadians that read your books wondering why?
^ I think it's because for now, they only have United States servers. I'm sure they'll get more after the game releases.
^ There is no such thing as a United States server... But there is such thing as a international block...
What if you could play Vmk while in the game that would be weird.
It would be awesome if it was like VMK, since I loved that site, but who knows?
I have a question: will there be an in-the-theme-parks part to the game, like there were VMK quests? That would be really cool, since I go at least once a year!
Oh, and it would be cool if we could play with Ridley in the game! If he gets picked, I hope he tells us his avatar's name! Maybe we should all do that, so we can spot each other!
I am not expecting this to be VMK but because the books take place in the Walt Disney World Parks of Orlando I can only guess some of the things from the parks would be included in the game. I would be very happy with something like this because it would allow us to enter the park as a virtual you once again. Maybe they have added something to allow you to play a vmk of sorts inside the game but now we get to experience not only Magic Kingdom but the other parks as well. Just a thought and based on what the books are about they would have to include some form of the parks to play in.
I would wait on the avatar name until you have registered just so you do not loose it. I would like to see everyone use there VMK avatar name so if we meet up in the game we can say hey I remeber you from VMK :)

On Ridley's twitter, he said "VMN (Virtual Maintenance Netork) YES YES!! You guessed it!!!", and I remember hearing him say something like that at the D23 Expo, so maybe that's what the game is about!

Yeah just a suggestion I will try and use my old VMK name since I also use this name with VFK.
VMN is something that plays a role in the second Kingdom Keepers book. It is a VMK-like sort of thing that shows the mechanical behind the scenes parts of the parts. In the book, they use it to follow wires.
I will consider using my VMK name, just since I like it and it is convenient, but you don't have to. Just an idea ;)

remember, too: this is a "smaller version" web game. If Disney launches a "BIG TIME" KK game -- 3D grapics, etc -- that will down the road, and books sales will enter into that decision. So get the word out to friends to try the new site when it launches and the KK books and especially KK3 when it publishes in April!!! THANKS!

I completey forgot about my VMK name! I am definately going to use it! Too bad I don't remember any of my old friends' names.

I think that the KK site will have multiple pages for the author n books bio (something like the Starcatcher's site) but then it will include a link for the game.
Ridley- I was wondering if it was by the first 200 to sign up or if it is random.
Ridley- What mystery company is working on this besides Disney?
KEBSD.. It looks as if Ridley has no idea how the beta testers will be decided upon. (In the sense that he has no clue if it is a first-come-first-serve basis) Have fun and goodluck!

I beta tested VMK, and hope for the privelage if beta testing KK!
I am guessing based on some of the questions they will use this to pick the beta testers. If you remember on the application it asked an age which verifies your are at least 13 but I am thinking they may choose a couple from each age bracket. Also they asked what you knew about the series which may also be something they will look at. Just a thought and wish everyone good luck today in being picked. I myself have beta tested many games and hope to add this to my belt :)

They may be making decisions today but sending emails later :( I hope that is not the case but we will have to wait and see. If anyone does get an email please share.
