DECEMBER 2002 NEWSLETTER Happy Holidays to everyone. I'm taking off to Tacoma for pre-production on THE DIARY OF ELLEN RIMBAUER, and will try to send daily updates on the web site, if Heidi has the time to post them! Photos, too. Casting has begun in Seattle, Los Angeles and New York. As we know the actors, we'll post them. The Rockbottom Remainders' show in Miami was a BLAST. Dave Barry, Scott Turow, Amy Tan, Kathi Goldmark, Greg Iles (a new addition!), Dave's brother, Sam (soulful and rockin'), Erasmo and Josh. One for the books (pun intended). We are gearing up for our April tour of the West Coast, to be recorded by documentary film maker, Mary Kemper; our interview by Steve Martin at the LA Book Festival. (Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles) There are many projects in the works, books and television, some of which will surprise readers as much as they've surprised me. Keep watch on the site and the newsletters for updates as I'm "allowed" to reveal some of these future works. The shooting of the ABC film (The Diary Of Ellen Rimbauer) will occupy all of January, so I'll likely skip a January newsletter this year, letting these periodic "field reports" take their place. Heidi will place a link to the field reports on the homepage - so bookmark the page and come join my "diary" of The Diary, as I dip my toe into observing film making, close up! Stephen King is executive producing and will try to make it to the set sometime during the shoot. Have a great December and January. Give books as Christmas gifts, and if you'd like some Art Of Deception(s) personalized to give to relatives and friends, we can do bookplates this season and speed up the mailing process. Just email Louise. Most of all, Peace On Earth.
