FEBRUARY 2002 NEWSLETTER The February contest is online! The prize: an autographed copy of the first chapter of The Art Of Deception (July, 2002, Hyperion Books). Title change announcement: my short story, Close Shave, is in a tennis anthology now titled: Murder Is My Racquet (previously: Love, Set, Match, Murder) edited by Otto Penzler. It will be published in April (not March), by Millennium and is currently available from Amazon under the OLD and NEW TITLE - go figure. SOON TO BE IN AN INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE NEAR YOU! Online, you can also check www.booksense.com The Art Of Deception is in Hollywood and Canada, and London, getting looked at by various directors and producers. Fingers crossed. I record the audio version later this month in Michigan. Michael Connelly, Stephen King and I have a lunch planned in March. Photos to come! The Remainders will be playing the BEA in June, and Stephen is now officially going to be on stage with us -- it's our 10th anniversary of playing together! The next couple months in St. Louis bring us friends and authors, Judith Freeman, Amy Tan and Dave Barry. Parallel Lies will be published in paperback in JUNE.
