FEBRUARY 2007 NEWSLETTER

Dear Friends:

I've had a terrific time getting ready, with my new publisher, Putnam, for the July 10th publication of Killer Weekend. The cover is on the web site, and we plan to start running excerpts in the coming months.

As usual, I'm up to my eyeballs in a variety of writing projects, all of them fun. My short story, Queeny, written at the request of Harlan Coben for a collection by the Mystery Writers of America, has been chosen to be included in the Best American Mystery Stories 2007, edited by Carl Hiaasen (to be published in the fall).

Dave Barry and I have just finished the 3rd and final Starcatchers novel: Peter and the Secret of Rundoon (Disney Books, Nov 1, 2007).

Killer Weekend received a starred review in Booklist which is always a nice start to any publication. I'm considering publishing (on Amazon) a short story with the protagonist from Killer Weekend, Walt Fleming. Readers of the newsletter will be able to download it for free. More news on that soon.

Keep reading. And thanks again for the support.

Pre-orders on Amazon, or from your local bookseller help a lot—so don't be shy!
