MARCH 2003 NEWSLETTER

MARCHING AHEAD 2003

I turn 50 next week. This is NOT a solicitation for gifts (please, no) but one of those milestones it seems worth mentioning. I feel about thirty-two, and I act about twelve, so you do the math.

I'm celebrating by writing four novels at once. Actually, copy-editing The Body of David Hayes, starting up the next Ridley Pearson, a stand alone, and continuing work on two books aimed at a younger audience, although I hope any reader would enjoy reading them.

Also to celebrate, my wife and I are flying to Seattle to dine with close friends and family, as I do some research (meeting with a deputy US Attorney) for the upcoming Hyperion novel.

The Rockbottom Remainders web site is now up, featuring this year's April tour. Roger McGuinn is musical guest. Should be a blast. Tickets are available on the Rockbottom site. Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles.

Awaiting the director's cut of The Diary Of Ellen Rimbauer. Director, Craig Baxley, did such a good job with this film, I can't WAIT to see the preliminary results. Talk about a great birthday present!!

Life is very full, made more so by great friends, and loyal readers, so let me thank you for going out and buying the books and allowing me to do what I love. That is the best gift of all. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Cheers,

Ridley Pearson
