MAY 2005 NEWSLETTER

cut and run The book tour for CUT AND RUN went well. It was great to get out and see (some of) you again, to share stories, sign books and hit the media. Cut and Run is selling at nearly twice the rate as The Body Of David Hayes, and I have all of you to thank for that.

Please JOIN the Barnes and Noble Book Club discussion of Cut and Run. I answer questions and comment every day for the next month.

Click on ENROLL NOW (it's free) and you're in. You can revisit the page(s) as often as you like.

Remember: the in-store discounts on Cut and Run end SOON. If you plan on buying the book, now's the time. Also, my home store, Left Bank Books can take orders for any inscriptions or autographing you may want. Hint: Father's Day is soon...

The end of May brings the Writers Conference cruise Seattle/to/Alaska on Holland America. Visit the Maui Writers Conference web site for more info. There's still room on the ship! I'm going to teach a course in the three act structure of writing novels. John Saul and many others are on the faculty as well. We have a group book signing, Barnes and Noble, downtown Seattle, on Friday, May 27, 5-7PM.

June brings the Sisters In Crime, Murder In The Grove writers conference in Boise and my four day visit to Toronto for the Canadian Book Expo at the end of the month. Check appearances, on the web site.

Dave Barry and I are hard at work on the second chapter book in the Never Land Island series, as well as the second children's novel, Peter and the Shadowthieves (Sept 2006). Disney Animation is swinging into full speed on the 3-D CGI feature of Starcatchers. Scholastic Book Club has purchased Starcatchers to include in the Scholastic Book Fairs at schools everywhere this fall.

I've seen a "rough" of the cover to Kingdom Keepers, my Young Adult novel (Sept 2005) about five kids inside Disney World at night, and it's amazing. I'm told the cover will be printed on special 3-D "paper." Should be interesting!

Again, thanks for the support while out on tour for Cut and Run.
