JUNE 2006 NEWSLETTER

The big news around here is the upcoming publication of PETER AND THE SHADOW THIEVES. There's a great buzz about the book, terrific early reviews and Dave and I are excited to get out on the road to promote it (July 14-28) see APPEARANCES.

The update to the www.peterandthestarcatchers.com website is underway and is mind boggling! There are some terrific features on it, new music and wallpaper, and it's greatly expanded. It's supposed to relaunch any day now. I held off writing this newsletter, hoping it would launch... but I think we're still waiting.

I'm in a "final" re-write of KILLER WEEKEND (Putnam 2007) and hope to have it to the publisher next week.

I'm in talks with Disney Books about some exciting books and series, and should have more information by the July newsletter.

No recent news from Equinoxe Films on THE CULTURE (a series TV project) but I remain hopeful. They're as dedicated as I am to getting this on the air, so it's wait-and-see.

Meanwhile Marcelle and I are hooked by the DVD sets to Alias. Having never seen the series when it aired, we're now devotees. Pushing our way slowly through the 3rd season. With summer's arrival, we'll likely still be in the 3rd season come September, but oh well.

Enjoy Akeelah The Bee if you haven't seen it yet. A great family film. I'm reading some terrific books slated for the fall, authors Tom Jackson, Nelson DeMille, and Stephenie Meyer among them.

I'm spending a lot more time on the Message Forum, so I'll see you there, if not on the road in July...
