AUGUST 2004 NEWSLETTER Peter and the Starcatchers (written with Dave Barry) continues to dominate my summer and upcoming months. Dave visited in July and we outlined the next Starcatchers novel, tentatively titled: Peter and the Shadowmasters. It's an exciting yarn! We plan to start writing it at the start of 2005, for publication September, 2006. I've just completed the final draft to my next thriller, Cut And Run, to be published by Hyperion, April 2005. I'm proud of this book and hope to get sample chapters to the website soon. I will tour in April. The first draft of Phen Femling: The Stonecutter's Quill, a kid's thriller set inside Disney World, is in copy edit, and soon on its way to my editor, Wendy Lefkon, at Disney Editions. It's action-packed, aimed at ages 10- up and is scheduled for September 2005. Dave Barry and I are doing a fairly significant tour for Peter and the Starcatchers. Hope to see you when on the road. Although billed as a "children's novel," I think that you, my thriller readers, will love the book. So far, the adult reaction to the novel has been terrific. It's been a busy, busy early summer, and this September-October promises to be busy as well, with the book tour, a Remainders tour (midwest), the Miami Book Fair, and the National Kidney Foundation appearance (Sacramento). One personal word of caution: wear your bike helmets. I took a nasty fall off my bike last week (when riding with Dave Barry and family – Dave came to my rescue) and walked away from it only because I was wearing a helmet.
